Spring

The days are getting longer, the birds are singing and the trees are budding... Spring is back and with it the desire to take your time.

A landscape in bloom, activities, guided nature tours, events such as Le Salon du Printemps, and an inimitable sweetness of life await you from March.

Walk around the protected natural site of Quinconces, which boasts a brand new mantle of greenery where you can come across egrets, herons or pond turtles: don't forget your camera!

From there, a few minutes by bicycle will take you to the oyster port, with its colorful cabins with typical charm, then to the city center and its promenade pier which will offer you a panorama of the entire Arcachon Basin. Take advantage of the surrounding shops and restaurants to savor the pleasure of a moment on the terrace.

SUMMER

The real holidays are in summer and in Andernos!

Enjoy these sunny days punctuated by daily entertainment: local festivals, shows, concerts and unmissable events such as the Andernos Jazz Festival!

For those who dream of relaxing, with their feet spread out on the warm sand, we invite you to meet one of the many beaches that border Andernos, at high tide and low tide.

And after swimming, boating or crab fishing, there's nothing like enjoying an ice cream facing the pool and taking advantage of the shops in the city center to enhance your summer wardrobe.

FALL

The beauty of the latter part of the season, as the colors of autumn spread across the foliage of Andernos' natural sites, is not to be missed.

Go to the pier where you can observe migratory birds, such as the Brent geese, which return each year to spend the winter on the basin.

And if ornithology isn't your strong point, maybe foodie is? On the market stalls, enjoy seasonal products, such as porcini mushrooms and chanterelles. And who knows, during your walks, you might even pick some in the neighboring forests!

WINTER

When the seaside displays the colors of winter, it adds emotion and authenticity to the landscapes: another facet of the basin to discover!

Disconnect, find yourself and enjoy the calm surroundings to take a deep breath of salty air by the pool or the ocean: there is nothing more invigorating! And it remains the ideal excuse to continue your day with a gourmet tasting in the city center, where you can also finish your Christmas shopping.

Once a year, the 45 typical and colorful oyster port huts open to the public. More than 20 visitors come to taste oysters directly from the producer and white wine from Entre-Deux-Mers winegrowers: Cabanes en Fête has become in just a few years the unmissable event for the month of December! Legend has it that oysters are best in winter. We love them all year round, but tasting oysters from the basin during the magical holiday season makes them particularly tasty!

As for the youngest, they will be delighted to learn that Santa Claus always makes a stopover in Andernos during the school holidays!
