The October school holidays in Andernos-les-Bains are the perfect time for family activities. Whether you are a nature, culture or sports lover, here is a detailed program to spend an unforgettable holiday!

Saturday October 19 – Happy hour at the media library

Toddlers will start their vacation with The Joyful Hour at the media library. Captivating stories, tales and albums, told by librarians, will offer a moment of sharing for children from 0 to 5 years old.

Tuesday October 22 – Cultural and adventure day

On the program, proposals rich in discoveries with several events for children!

  • Show for young audiences: Elephant's Child

    The funny and curious story of the elephants' long trunk, told through shadows, objects and music. This show, inspired by Rudyard Kipling's tale, features a curious baby elephant who asks a question that upsets the entire forest. An enchanting show for children aged 6 to 10.

    A stroll in the heart of the protected Quinconces site to explore the fauna and flora of the Arcachon basin.

  • The little secrets of the oyster 

    An immersion in the oyster farming profession with the discovery of tools and a photo rally, followed by a tasting.

Thursday October 24 – Great, the tide is low!

The sea recedes, leaving room for fascinating discoveries on the foreshore. Ideal for children from 6 years old, this activity will allow them to learn while having fun.

Saturday October 26 – E-sport and nature tournament

Saturday, October 26 offers two fun activities:

  • E-sport tournament : Video game fans will be able to take part in a virtual football tournament on PS5 and PS4.

  • Mystery at Bétey returns on Tuesday, October 29 at 10 a.m. for a new captivating investigation at the port of Bétey.

 

  • The little secrets of the oyster will also be offered on Wednesday October 30 at 10 a.m. at the port of Andernos.

Thursday October 31 – Great, the tide is low!

To end the holidays, the activity Great, the tide is low! returns at 10am for an exploration of the foreshore.

CAP33 and Aventures Andernos: for sports enthusiasts

  • CAP33 offers free or moderately priced sports activities from October 21 to November 1. Open to young people aged 10 to 14 (CAP33 Junior) and adults from 15 years old.

  • Andernos Adventures offers weekly sports courses for 11-17 year olds from October 28 to November 1.

Cinema and leisure activities

  • Take advantage of the holidays to see a movie at La Dolce Vita Cinema, whether it’s a children’s film or a current must-see. Debate evenings and conferences are also offered.
